Hooray for Armstong Mansion!







November Room. My Favorite



 In February my Dear Husband had planed to take me to the Armstrong Mansion for two nights. This vacation was a very big deal because I had asked him to take me on a vacation with him that was longer than just an overnight thing. The first night we did get there but just after settling in we got a call from my parents to tell us that our oldest daughter had an earache. Now I never would have dropped my children off to be babysat if I thought they were sick. They had all just gotten over something but were acting just fine. This was a big surprise. My girl is not prone to ear infections. She is 7 and she's maybe had one other as a baby. Anyway we talked about what medicine to give her and since it was late we would wait and see how she was in the morning. Well I called the next morning and found out that she cried and whined a ton all night and our other daughter was getting sick to. What are the odds? We had to go home. :( The people at Armstrong Mansion were so nice about the whole thing. They worked with us and made sure we got our money back for the night we missed without a penalty and without making us feel even worse. I really can't think of another place that would do that. They treated us better than just customers they treated us like  friends.The happy ending to the story is that we booked a THREE night stay over our anniversary 7 months later and had an AMAZING time. We were there for three breakfasts that were all so delicious. The staff made sure we had something different every morning and even asked us if we wanted to request our favorite (stuffed French toast). It was served hot the next day. My Dear Husband and I have actually stayed at the Armstrong Mansion at least 10 times in our 10 years of married life and it has always been wonderful.
